How nice, you got onto solving a problem instead of finding excuses for the guilty party. I'm sure you've had thrills on my side of the fence, but I'm home now.

Regarding your surprise: I've been strongly preoccupied with x-rays and being checked for internal bleeding. When your turn comes to take a baseball to the head, I'll watch over the network while you lie convalescent.

In any event, tell me more about this illegal connection.

Yes. Being dead immediately ends your work contract, so Arisato-sensei is certainly NOT authorized to use the network.

Also Arisato-sensei is dead.

P.S: my committee does not commit miscarriages of justice. We're very pro-life: all our justice is done by keeping our subjects alive, if suffering for as long as possible.

Yes. The way I see it we have some sort of hacker that's somehow acquired access to the account, and that apparently won't be shaken off so easily.

The computer club can't do anything about it, then?

Of course, it'd be preferable if this didn't reach the teachers just yet. The principal would be most impressed with whomever manages to solve this problem, correct?

Oh. The club's supervisor is at a loss. He's tried resetting the router. I think he double-checked connections and activity too. Terumi-san's done the same. I'd keep an eye on the club, in any case. They might nail the culprit - then you've got a job to do.

One that doesn't involve such a petty competition, ideally.

Unfortunately the "petty competition" is a fact of life: after all, in the dog-eat-dog world of Ryuseki High, nothing would be more stimulating than the promise of getting cred for solving this situation.

As for what you say, it makes no sense. SURELY doing all that would mean the problem should be solved, unless by some reason there's something darker or deeper taking place here. Something beyond a mere computer problem. We certainly can't wait until some chance event brings on an EMP to kill the computer system...

Well. Oubai-san has suggested the possibility some first years may be pulling a prank. Though student council is not pointing fingers, it does present a possibility - especially given the hacker's sense of humor.

As for solving the problem, I do agree that it shouldn't be a competition. However, you're free to approach it that way, of course ~~because you would lose~~.

Is there any way this user can be found, or where I can see some of its tracks on the system?

Currently, I've been tracking activity logs and connection times. The user is possibly hiding behind more than one proxy so it may take some time to go through all the accounts for irregularities such as Arisato-sensei.

Unfortunately, access to those logs are currently limited. Though you wouldn't have access to all of them, you should be able to get permission to see some of them, particularly for your own club. At the very least, if you see any strange networks such as "The Haunted School Belongs to Us" it may serve as a clue. But if you do see anything like this, I would strongly recommend you pass the information on to student council.

Interesting this.
I think that despite our difference in opinion we can agree that this is better kept among the students-- and, as long as possible, from the President of the council.

Not to mention the Treasurer. He'd certainly make a chance of calling away budget from the computer club-- goodness knows he'd like to put his grubby hands on it and hand it to someone who wins his favors.

~~No lie, and I don't think he'd be surprised to read this, but I'm fairly sure~~ there is no one more deserving of dying molten in acid than him.

I'm sure not everyone thinks that way ~~there are many more things he deserves than acid~~. He does do his job, though with more enthusiasm and glee than most would.

I can't stop our treasurer or Yamato-senpai from finding out themselves, especially if they read this notice, but it isn't a matter I would trouble them with just yet. After all, as you noted, our treasurer may see the irregularities and think the solution to simply move resources and see if that fixes the problem.

Now that's just silly. Of course it's possible. I've been doing it to my classmates since first grade and all the way until third grade when they told me it wasn't okay, and probably a crime.
