Interesting this. I think that despite our difference in opinion we can agree that this is better kept among the students-- and, as long as possible, from the President of the council.
Not to mention the Treasurer. He'd certainly make a chance of calling away budget from the computer club-- goodness knows he'd like to put his grubby hands on it and hand it to someone who wins his favors.
No lie, and I don't think he'd be surprised to read this, but I'm fairly sure there is no one more deserving of dying molten in acid than him.
